Position Summary
The Director of Talent Acquisition is a strategic partner to business leaders and a key builder of eMed’s hiring engine. This role is responsible for designing, leading, and executing the company’s end-to-end talent acquisition strategy while personally partnering with executives and hiring managers to deliver high-quality talent.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Director of Talent Acquisition will translate business strategy into workforce and hiring plans, define role success profiles, and bring rigor, structure, and market insight into every hiring decision. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic advisory capability with direct recruiting execution, earning credibility and influence through delivery.
The ideal candidate is a builder who has scaled recruiting functions before, is deeply trusted by hiring managers, and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments where strategy and execution must move together.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Advisory
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and hiring managers on workforce planning, role design, and hiring priorities aligned to business objectives
- Partner with leaders to define success profiles, competencies, and hiring tradeoffs prior to launching searches
- Provide real-time talent market intelligence, including candidate availability, compensation trends, and competitive dynamics, to inform decision making
Talent Acquisition Leadership & Execution
- Build, lead, and execute eMed’s end-to-end talent acquisition strategy, combining hands-on recruiting with scalable infrastructure
- Personally lead recruiting for critical, senior, and complex roles, modeling best-in-class hiring practices and disciplined execution
- Design and implement structured hiring frameworks, including interview processes, scorecards, and interviewer training
- Own the full recruiting lifecycle from intake through offer, close, and onboarding handoff
Technology, Data, & Process Excellence
- Select, implement, and optimize the applicant tracking system to support scalable hiring, compliance, and a strong candidate experience
- Ensure recruiting data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all roles, geographies, and hiring workflows
- Develop and maintain recruiting dashboards and reporting for key metrics including time to fill, quality of hire, pipeline health, and source effectiveness
- Use data and judgment to diagnose hiring challenges, inform leadership decisions, and continuously improve recruiting outcomes
- Partner with People Operations team to ensure seamless integration between recruiting systems and broader people data infrastructure
Capability Building
- Build internal recruiting capability over time by hiring, mentoring, and developing recruiters as scale requires
- Manage and optimize external recruiting agency partnerships, reducing reliance on agencies through strong internal execution
- Partner closely with the People team on broader talent initiatives tied to growth, performance, and organizational design
Qualifications
- 7 to 1 years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including experience serving as a strategic partner to senior leaders.
- Proven track record of building or transforming a talent acquisition function in a high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated ability to personally deliver hires while designing scalable recruiting systems and processes.
- Experience recruiting across complex, hard-to-fill roles, including commercial, technical, and or healthcare positions.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect hiring decisions to broader organizational outcomes.
