Senior Project Manager
Senior Project Manager
Location: Onsite — Miami, FL
Department: Product, Design & Delivery
Reports to: Head of Product
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Project Manager to drive execution and delivery across our Product, Design & Delivery team. You'll own delivery across complex, cross-team initiatives while contributing to product strategy, stakeholder alignment, and team operations as needed. We value practitioners who've moved past rigid methodology into adaptive, outcome-focused execution.
This is not a narrowly scoped PM role. We're a small team with big ambitions, and you'll need to wear multiple hats to be successful. Your primary focus is execution and delivery, but you'll also contribute to product thinking, strategic planning, and anything else the team needs to succeed.
What Makes This Role Unique
- Multi-program blast radius. A single initiative often touches multiple programs with different stakeholders, timelines, and constraints. You'll need to see the full picture and keep everyone aligned.
- Clinical and regulatory complexity. Shipping in healthcare means navigating compliance, clinical review, and patient safety as part of delivery, not as an afterthought.
- Cross-timezone delivery. Our engineering team spans the US and UK. You'll need to drive execution across time zones without requiring everyone to be in the same room.
- Small team, big scope. We operate in a startup environment. You won't have a dedicated PMO, analyst, or coordinator. You are the coordination layer.
What You'll Do
Drive Execution Across Complex Initiatives
- Own delivery for cross-team product initiatives driving timelines, dependencies, risks, and blockers
- Design and run lightweight planning and coordination rituals that create clarity without overhead
- Surface risks and blockers early, before they become surprises in a leadership review
- Track open items relentlessly and ensure stakeholder alignment is obtained before delivery, not after
Enable the Team to Do Their Best Work
- Partner with PMs to translate product strategy into executable delivery plans
- Facilitate sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and retrospectives adapting the format to what the team actually needs, not what a framework prescribes
- Remove obstacles and chase down dependencies so engineers and designers can focus on building
- Maintain clear, up-to-date views of what's in flight, what's blocked, and what's coming next
Contribute Beyond Delivery
- Step into product thinking, strategic discussions, and stakeholder management when the team needs it
- Provide honest, concise status updates to leadership
- Identify process gaps and propose lightweight solutions, then measure their impact
- Help shape how the Product, Design & Delivery team operates as we scale
What Success Looks Like
- The team has clear visibility into what's in flight and what's coming without anyone having to chase for updates
- Cross-team dependencies are tracked and managed
- You've introduced process improvements that the team has fully adopted
- Leadership gets honest, actionable status updates on a predictable cadence
- Engineers, PMs, and designers describe you as someone who makes the team better without adding unnecessary overhead
What You Bring
Required
- 5–8 years in project management, delivery management, or a similar role in a software/product environment
- Experience working in small-to-mid-size companies (under 500 people) where you couldn't rely on established processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with cross-team dependencies
- Strong facilitation skills; you can run a productive meeting and know when a meeting isn't the answer
- Experience working across time zones with distributed engineering teams
- Comfort with Agile principles applied pragmatically
- Excellent written communication; async updates, risk summaries, and decision logs are core to the role
- Proficiency with Jira (or similar) for backlog and sprint management
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare, digital health, or regulated industries
- PMP, CSM, or similar certification
- Experience supporting product teams specifically, not just engineering delivery
- Familiarity with clinical or compliance-driven development workflows
- Product sense, you understand why something is being built, not just when it ships
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)
- The team has clear visibility into what's in flight and what's coming — without you having to chase people for updates
- At least one delivery process improvement you introduced is actively making the team faster or more reliable
- Cross-team dependencies are tracked and managed — nothing is blocked because someone forgot to tell someone else
- Leadership gets honest, concise status updates on a predictable cadence
- Engineers and PMs describe you as someone who makes their work easier, not harder
