QA Automation Intern
We are looking for a motivated QA Automation Intern to support the development and maintenance of automated and manual tests for new and existing software features. This role is ideal for students or early-career candidates who want hands-on experience with test automation, modern QA tools, and Agile development practices.
As an intern, you’ll work closely with experienced QA engineers, developers, and product team members to learn how quality is built into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). You’ll gain exposure to automation frameworks, regression testing, defect tracking, and continuous testing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and executing automated and manual test cases
- Help evaluate test cases for inclusion in regression test suites and test coverage
- Support automation of newly implemented functionality under guidance from senior QA engineers
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA activities within an Agile team
- Execute tests, document results, and assist with defect tracking and reporting
- Learn and apply testing strategies and automation best practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
- Contribute ideas for improving test efficiency, tools, and processes

Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript (coursework or personal projects acceptable)
- Basic understanding of SQL (coursework acceptable)
- Familiarity with software testing concepts (from classes or projects)
- Willingness to learn automation tools, frameworks, and QA best practices
Preferred (Nice to Have, Not Required)
- Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub and basic CI/CD concepts (e.g., Jenkins)
- Awareness of REST APIs and tools like Postman
- Introductory knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS exposure a plus)
- Experience through class projects, labs, internships, or personal projects
