Quality Analyst - Summer Intern

Position Summary
As a Quality Analyst Summer Intern, you will support our Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams in maintaining, improving, and documenting our Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with CLIA, CAP, and/or FDA regulations. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, startup environment while contributing to real-world quality initiatives essential to virtual diagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents
  • Support internal audits and risk assessments for virtual lab operations and test development processes
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data for quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Help track and manage deviations, non-conformances, CAPAs, and change controls
  • Support training compliance tracking and onboarding documentation for lab and tech teams
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Compliance teams to ensure quality practices are embedded in product development
  • Participate in software validation documentation and testing for digital lab tools
  • Assist with inspection readiness tasks and documentation organization
Qualifications & Experience
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Quality Systems, or related field
  • Strong interest in diagnostics, digital health, or lab sciences
  • Basic understanding of quality systems (ISO 13485, CLIA, FDA QSR, or similar) preferred
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; exposure to QMS tools a plus
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, startup environment
