Position Summary
As a Quality Analyst Summer Intern, you will support our Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams in maintaining, improving, and documenting our Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with CLIA, CAP, and/or FDA regulations. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, startup environment while contributing to real-world quality initiatives essential to virtual diagnostic testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents
- Support internal audits and risk assessments for virtual lab operations and test development processes
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data for quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Help track and manage deviations, non-conformances, CAPAs, and change controls
- Support training compliance tracking and onboarding documentation for lab and tech teams
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Compliance teams to ensure quality practices are embedded in product development
- Participate in software validation documentation and testing for digital lab tools
- Assist with inspection readiness tasks and documentation organization
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Quality Systems, or related field
- Strong interest in diagnostics, digital health, or lab sciences
- Basic understanding of quality systems (ISO 13485, CLIA, FDA QSR, or similar) preferred
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; exposure to QMS tools a plus
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, startup environment
